Professor Martyn Caplin is the lead physician, who runs a research programme into the science of NETs as well as clinical trials. He chairs the UK Neuroendocrine Tumour Group and is scientific secretary of the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Group.

John Ramage is the Consultant in Gastroentoerology and Hepatology, North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke, and lead clinician for the carcinoid clinic, Kings College Hospital. He is chairman of the British Society for Gastroenterology Website Committee and chair of the Expert Working Group of Liver and Biliary Healthcare Resource Groupings. He is also a member of the BSG IT committee. Research interests include quality of life scoring systems in cancers, and decision support in neuroendocrine tumours
